Chief's
Message
50 Years!! A long time, yet such a short time in the overall scheme
of things. What started as an idea, a need to better serve the
town residents, and a 1928 International Harvester Chemical Type
Fire Truck has turned into one of the largest volunteer fire departments
in the State of Wisconsin.
The 1928 International Harvester has long ago been replaced. Our
newest engine is a Darley/Spartan fire truck that carries 1,000
gallons of water, can pump 1,500 gallons of water per minute and
has a state of the art compressed air foam system on board.
The trucks and equipment have changed but some things certainly
haven't. The ideas, the need to better serve the town residents,
and most importantly, the volunteer spirit of the men and women
that serve this community when there is a need. They spend countless
hours in training, fighting fires, and providing rescue and emergency
medical services along with being active in other areas of the community.
I am proud to serve as Chief and lead such a great Department.
I follow in the footsteps of former Chiefs Dave Olson, Dick Deilke,
and Marshall Horlacher and pledge that I will do my best to make
sure that we move forward with the foresight that the founders of
the Department did all those 50 years ago.
